The Slovenian government said it is banning the public gatherings of more than 10 people, as the number of new coronavirus infections in the tiny Adriatic state has begun to spike in the past days, similar to other European countries.
An exception is allowed for gatherings of up to 50 people, if the organiser of the event has prepared a list with the contact details of the participants that must be kept for one month, the government said in a statement on Wednesday.
Such events could include private parties, weddings, family picnics, and the like.
For sports and cultural events, the limit on the number of participants remains unchanged at 500.
