Odranci, 05 May (STA) - Carthago Odranci, a subsidiary of Germany motor homes maker Carthago, generated almost EUR 180m revenue in the financial year that ended on 31 July 2017, which is a 25% rise year-on-year. Profit rose from EUR 6.8m to EUR 7.8m.
The company employed 746 people at the end of last July, which is 130 more than the year before, show data from the Agency for Public Legal Records (AJPES).
According to CEO Sandra Županec, the company produced 35 vehicles a week in 2016, while 40 vans and 60 campers a week were produced last year.
"For the first time in its history, the company is faced with a shortage of labour force. Since unemployment is getting ever lower, finding workers will be our biggest challenge in the future," Županec has told the STA.
The group plans investments to the tune of EUR 17m this year and output of some 5,400 new vehicles, whereas the annual output should top 7,000 vehicles by 2021.
