Ljubljana, 21 January (STA) - Industrial prices in Slovenia grew by a sluggish 1.4% in 2018, down from a more brisk 2.2% in the year before, show the latest figures released by the Statistics Office.
Energy prices surged by 5.5% over the year before on the back of a 6.5% spike in electricity prices, while all other industrial groups recorded slower rates of growth. Consumer goods prices, for example, rose by only 0.6%.
The biggest single drop was recorded in the manufacturing of computer and optical products, where prices went down by 9.7%.
At the monthly level, prices remained flat.
